How to use
Three ways to use Gemina3D
Gemina3D turns music into a physical, three-dimensional space.
Time moves forward through a tunnel, pitch surrounds you, and
harmony becomes geometry.
Explore.
Load a MIDI file and travel through its musical structure. As
the song plays, notes appear in space, revealing melodies,
intervals, and harmonies.
Play.
Connect a MIDI keyboard (left dock → MIDI) and play
directly into the space. Notes and geometric shapes appear at
once — no timeline required. If a song is loaded, press Eject
first.
Transform.
Change the harmonic reality of a piece from the transport.
Mirror reflects pitch classes across an axis
you choose. Levy (negative harmony) inverts
harmonic relationships while the rhythm stays intact. The map
and the synth follow; the keyboard is unchanged.
Navigation and controls
Movement.
Drag to orbit. On a phone, pinch to move closer or farther —
one finger does not move the view.
WASD slide.
IJKL look.
R recenters the camera.
Playback.Space plays or pauses.
F is fullscreen.
P saves a PNG still.
Left dock.
The main menu: MIDI, Audio, Layers, View, Look,
Export, and this About.
Layers is what is drawn.
View is the camera.
Look is color and glow.
Harmony lives on the transport.
Right dock.
Quick visual settings. Autopilot slowly orbits the tunnel
(it does not chase notes). Also: spin, rails, color, labels,
and octave lines. The eye hides the menus.
Privacy, terms, and credits
Your files stay yours. A .mid you load is read in
the browser and is never uploaded to a Gemina server.
No accounts, no tracking cookies of our own, and we do not
collect or sell your data. Full text is in Privacy and Terms
below.
gemina3d is a personal project by Abel Boquera (Barcelona),
provided “as is” for personal and educational use. It uses
open-source libraries such as three.js. Credits lists them.
The included demo songs are public domain or redistributable.
Do not use the site to distribute someone else’s MIDI unless
you have the right to do so.
Idea
Gemina is a personal experiment in translating music into
geometry. Every note has a place. Every interval creates a
relationship. Every chord creates a shape. Every melody draws a
path. Time gives the structure depth.
You can travel through an existing composition, play directly
into the space, or transform a familiar piece and hear its
harmony from the other side.
gemina3d is a place to see music, play music, and rethink
musical relationships — not as notation, not as a piano roll,
but as a space you can enter.
The demo library contains only public-domain or redistributable
works. MIDI encodings come from various sources (for example
Mutopia Project for The Entertainer, 1902). Including a
file does not mean Abel claims that MIDI edition.
If you load your own MIDI, the work stays yours. The file is read
in your browser and is not uploaded to a Gemina server.
Terms of use
By using www.gemina3d.com you accept these terms. The
service is a browser-based music visualization, provided “as is”,
with no warranty of availability, analytical accuracy, or fitness
for a particular purpose.
The public view on this site is for personal and educational use.
Do not use
the site to distribute someone else’s MIDI unless you have the
right to do so. Do not circumvent future technical limits (export,
extra modes, or other paid features).
You keep all rights in files you load. Gemina does not acquire
that music or publish it just because you open it here. The
included library is not a commercial catalog: it is not permission
to extract and resell those sequences.
To the extent allowed by law, Abel Boquera is not liable for
indirect damages, data loss, or hosting interruptions. If payments
exist later, those purchase terms will be published before any
charge, and this text will be updated. Stripe or another processor
would then handle the payment: Gemina would not store card
numbers.
Governing law: Spain. Disputes go to the courts of the
controller’s domicile, unless a consumer rule says otherwise.
This text is a starting point, not legal advice. When accounts or
payments exist, a professional should review it.
Privacy

The site does not ask for accounts, has no mailing list, and does
not run its own analytics. We do not sell data.
What happens on your device: MIDI you open is processed in the
browser; the soundfont may be stored in IndexedDB so it is not
downloaded again. You can clear that store in your browser
settings.
The site is hosted on Netlify. That host may log ordinary CDN
technical data (for example IP address, time, and user-agent)
under its own policy. Gemina does not keep a user database from
those logs.
We do not set our own tracking cookies. If payment is added later,
Stripe (or the processor we name) will handle the data needed for
the charge, and we will explain that here before turning it on.
You have rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection,
restriction, and portability, and you may complain to the Spanish
Data Protection Agency (AEPD). To exercise them, write to
abelboquera@gmail.com.
